Good Fridayとは
このエピソードではGood Fridayにミサが行われるが、これはイースターの前の金曜日のことで、キリストが十字架にかけられた日とされる。

ビルの母親ジョーニーと保安官の会話の中での保安官のセリフ。unheard-ofは形容詞で「前例のない」の意味。名詞で「前例のないこと」の意味にもなる。ここでは二重否定的に使われている。

ジョーニーのセリフから。piousは「信心深い」の意味で、類義語はdevout。また「聖人ぶった」の意味もある（類義語はsanctimonious）。

教会でミルドレッドを迎え入れるベブのセリフ。seeing is believingは「百聞は一見にしかず」の意味。as I live and breatheはしばらく会っていない人などに会ったときの「驚いた！」といった意味。

司祭とライリーのミーティングでの司祭のセリフ。callingとvocationは同義で、「（神から与えられたような）使命感」といった意味。また、どちらも「天職」の意味にもなる。

ベブが現れたときに司祭がライリーについて言うセリフ。worse for wear で「疲れて」の意味。

さらに司祭のセリフから。in the weeds で「問題が多すぎる」といった意味。

ライリーにイライラしてベブが言うセリフ。smirkで「ニヤニヤ笑う」の意味。

ベブを諭す司祭のセリフ。immaterialで「取るに足らない」の意味。
